Tall Ships Erie Security Training
We’re thrilled to have you aboard for Tall Ships® Erie 2025! Your energy and dedication make this festival possible, and we can’t wait to work alongside you to create an unforgettable experience for our guests.
As part of our safety commitment, all volunteers must complete the Mandatory Security & Emergency Training before their first shift. This short, 12-minute video will get you up to speed on what to expect at security checkpoints, what’s allowed inside the festival, how to protect your belongings, how to spot and report anything unusual, and how to get help in an emergency.
Because Tall Ships® Erie is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security–designated Marine Event of National Significance, this training is a requirement. The good news? It’s easy to complete!
Step 1: Sign Up for An Account
- Click the “Register for Free” button below these instructions or the "Sign Up" button at the top right of the screen.
- On the next page, click “Sign Up.”
- Enter the same email address you used when registering as a volunteer so we can track your completion & your password.
- You may be asked to verify your email — just follow the link in your email's inbox if prompted.
- Once logged in, enter the course.
Step 2: Watch the Video
- Watch the entire video without skipping ahead. You can rewind to review, but the system will know if you’ve skipped and make you go back to view the missed content.
- At the end of the video there will be two red buttons, click “Next”
Step 3: Acknowledge that you watched
- In the prompt, type your name and hit the "claim Certificate button" to certify that you watched the video.
- You will be given a Certificate of Completion.
- No need to send us your certificate — the system logs your completion automatically. This is just for your own receipt.
